308/ August 18, 2011 - How do you write an ending? (3)There is an apology owed somewhere, an apology borrowed and returned and perhaps kept. There will be a day when the future is history and we’ll both stumble upon that kept apology— you at the turn of a page or me at the turn of an alley— and we clench fists, one hardly, one tenderly, one always in awe and the other in anger. I am not certain which one I should be.
